8 REASONS YOU NEED TO TRAVEL!

Make memories and have experiences that last a lifetime.

     I believe i can flyyyy!!!

My mom once taught me about the importance of memories. If I could choose one thing my money had to go towards for the rest of my life, it would be to travel. When you travel, you can create so many unique memories that last a lifetime -- the value of new experiences with the people you love usurps any material item. Here are some of the many reasons to travel:
1. Experiencing different cultures and customs.
Whether you're from the west coast and visit somewhere on the east coast or travel to a country on the other side of the world, you can always learn new things at each "foreign" location. Discovering the history of the town you're in and their traditions opens your eyes to other people's way of life, and you can gain an overall understanding of and appreciation for other cultures.
2. Trying new foods.
Every town has unique tastes and flavors, so it's always fun to be able to try interesting, new foods. There's nothing like clam chowder from Boston or pork ears in Brazil.
3. Appreciating the world's beauty.
As cliché as it may sound, life is short. If you have the ability to travel and experience the world's unique beauties, it is definitely worth it. Take risks and go out of your comfort zone to try new things.
4. Bonding with the people you love.
You can learn a lot about a person when you travel, even if you've known them from years or your whole life. You discover people's interests, passions, and hobbies -- and can grow closer through traveling and facing new experiences together.
5. Finding out new things about yourself.
As you travel, you may be introduced to a new hobby, such as surfing or viewing pieces of art in museums. Different cultures can teach you lessons, and help you to discover aspects of yourself maybe you didn't even know before. You may gain new skills like hiking or learning how to hula dance, you can realize what you're capable of.
6. Feeling the thrill of adventure.
If you are traveling and trying more adventurous activities, you can find out what you're capable of. Conquering a dangerous hike or skiing a challenging slope tests your limits, and can give you confidence to adventure locally as well.
7. Creating memories that last a lifetime.
I'd rather take a road trip a couple hours away and stay in a room found on Hotel Tonight instead of spending that money on a purse. At the end of the day, memories are the most valuable thing you can have, and traveling definitely can spark some of your most valuable memories.
8. Fulfilling your bucket list.
Personally, I've had a bucket list since I was 8 years old. Especially when you're young and in college -- these are usually some of the most care free years of your life. S why not travel or study abroad? Why not take random road trips to places around the country you've always wanted to visit? For every reason to turn a spontaneous trip down, there are a hundred reasons to go on that trip. So ask yourself... why not?
There are a million reasons to travel.
